उत्पत्य च ततः सर्वे वनपालान् समागतान् ।
ताडयन्ति स्म शतशः सक्तान् मधुवने तदा ।
।
॥५-६२-८॥
utpatya ca tataḥ sarve vanapālān samāgatān । tāḍayanti sma śataśaḥ saktān madhuvane tadā । । ॥5-62-8॥
Translation
Then, jumping up, all of them began to beat the hundreds of forest guards who had gathered there (to protect the forest) and were attached to their duty.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, जब मधुवन के रक्षक उन्हें रोकने के लिए वहां एकत्रित हुए, तो उन सभी वानरों ने उछल-उछल कर उन सैकड़ों रक्षकों को पीटना आरम्भ कर दिया।
English Commentary
The scene turns violent as the conflict between the celebrating search party and the duty-bound guards escalates. The guards, numbering in the hundreds, attempted to intervene, but the Vanaras, intoxicated by success and honey, physically assaulted them. The verse contrasts the saktān (duty-bound/attached to the forest) guards with the rowdy Vanaras. This aggression emphasizes the magnitude of the Vanaras' emotional release; they are practically unstoppable and unwilling to tolerate any hindrance to their well-deserved celebration.

यहाँ स्थिति के संघर्षपूर्ण होने का वर्णन है। रक्षक अपने कर्तव्य का पालन करते हुए सैकड़ों की संख्या में वानरों को रोकने आए, किन्तु विजय के नशे में चूर वानर दल ने उन पर आक्रमण कर दिया। 'ताडयन्ति स्म' (पीटने लगे) दर्शाता है कि यह केवल मौखिक विवाद नहीं था, बल्कि हाथापाई थी। रक्षकों का 'सक्तान्' (अपने कर्तव्य में संलग्न) होना और वानरों का उन्हें पीटना, यह दिखाता है कि राम-काज सिद्ध होने के बाद वानर अब किसी भी साधारण नियम या अवरोध को स्वीकार करने के स्थिति में नहीं थे।
