एवं विज्ञाप्यमानं तं सुग्रीवं वानरर्षभम् ।
अपृच्छत्तं महाप्राज्ञो लक्ष्मणः परवीरहा ।

Evaṃ vijñāpyamānaṃ taṃ Sugrīvaṃ vānararṣabham । Apṛcchattaṃ mahāprājño Lakṣmaṇaḥ paravīrahā । । ॥5-63-11॥
Translation
While Sugriva, the Bull among Vanaras, was being informed in this manner, the very wise Lakshmana, the slayer of enemy heroes, asked him.

वानरराज सुग्रीव को इस प्रकार सूचित किए जाने पर, महाबुद्धिमान और शत्रुवीरों का नाश करने वाले लक्ष्मण ने उनसे (सुग्रीव से) पूछा।
English Commentary
The focus shifts to Lakshmana, who observes the interaction. Described as 'Paraviraha' (slayer of hostile heroes), he represents the martial power alongside the King. However, he is also 'Mahaprajna' (very wise). Being an outsider to Vanara customs, he may not fully understand the significance of the Madhuvana, but he senses that the commotion implies something significant. His intervention prompts Sugriva to explain the hidden meaning behind this apparent act of rebellion—that Sita has likely been found.

यहाँ दृश्य बदलता है। लक्ष्मण, जो अब तक मौन थे, इस वार्तालाप को सुन रहे थे। उन्हें 'महाप्राज्ञ' (बुद्धिमान) कहा गया है क्योंकि वे समझ रहे हैं कि साधारण वानर कभी भी राजाज्ञा का ऐसा उल्लंघन नहीं कर सकते जब तक कि कोई बड़ी बात न हो। वे 'परवीरहा' (शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले) भी हैं, जो दर्शाता है कि यदि कोई खतरा है तो वे निपटने को तैयार हैं। लक्ष्मण की जिज्ञासा कथा को आगे बढ़ाती है—वे जानना चाहते हैं कि आखिर माजरा क्या है।
