Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एवमुक्तस्तु सुग्रीवो लक्ष्मणेन महात्मना ।
लक्ष्मणं प्रत्युवाचेदं वाक्यं वाक्यविशारदः ।
।

Evamuktastu Sugrīvo Lakṣmaṇena mahātmanā । Lakṣmaṇaṃ pratyuvācedaṃ vākyaṃ vākyaviśāradaḥ । । ॥5-63-13॥
Translation
Being thus addressed by the high-souled Lakshmana, Sugriva, who was skilled in speech, replied with these words to Lakshmana.

महात्मा लक्ष्मण द्वारा ऐसा कहे जाने पर, बोलने में चतुर (वाक्यविशारद) सुग्रीव ने लक्ष्मण को यह उत्तर दिया।
English Commentary
Sugriva is described here as 'Vakyavisharada' (expert in speech/eloquent). This descriptor is pivotal because he must interpret an act of apparent rebellion (destroying the royal grove) as a sign of victory to Lakshmana. He needs to articulate that the chaos reported by Dadhimukha is actually the best possible news. Sugriva’s ability to connect the dots and communicate the inference clearly is crucial for relieving Lakshmana's anxiety about Sita.
