विचित्य दक्षिणामाशामागतैर्हरिपुङ्गवैः ।

Vicitya dakṣiṇāmāśāmāgatairharipuṅgavaiḥ । 。 ॥5-63-15॥
Translation
[This was done] by those bulls among monkeys (best monkeys) who have returned after searching the southern direction.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे वानर श्रेष्ठ, जो दक्षिण दिशा को ढूँढकर (वहाँ से) वापस आए हैं [उन्होंने यह किया है]।
English Commentary
This is the key identifier. Sugriva clarifies that the perpetrators are not just any monkeys, but the elite team ('Haripungavaih') returning from the southern direction. Since the south was the direction Ravana fled, and the deadline for their return had passed, their return combined with this behavior is the premise for Sugriva's logical leap. He isolates the specific group to prepare Lakshmana for the revelation.

यह श्लोक पिछले श्लोक का पूरक है। सुग्रीव स्पष्ट करते हैं कि यह कार्य उन वानरों ने किया है जो 'दक्षिण दिशा' (जहाँ रावण सीता को ले गया था) से लौटे हैं। यह सबसे महत्वपूर्ण संकेत है। यदि वे किसी अन्य दिशा से आए होते, तो शायद यह साधारण बात होती, लेकिन दक्षिण से लौटना और वह भी इस तरह के उत्साह के साथ, केवल एक ही अर्थ रखता है। सुग्रीव लक्ष्मण को धीरे-धीरे निष्कर्ष की ओर ले जा रहे हैं।
