प्रीतो ऽस्मि सो ऽहं युद्भुक्तं वनं तैः कृतकर्मभिः ।
मर्षितं मर्षणीयं च चेष्टितं कृतकर्मणाम् ।
।
॥५-६३-२७॥
Prīto 'smi so 'haṃ yadbhkutaṃ vanaṃ taiḥ kṛtakarmabhiḥ । Marṣitaṃ marṣaṇīyaṃ ca ceṣṭitaṃ kṛtakarmaṇām । । ॥5-63-27॥
Translation
"I am pleased that the forest has been enjoyed by them who have accomplished their task. The behavior/action of those who have achieved success is pardonable, and I have pardoned it."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैं उन कृतकार्य (सफल) वानरों द्वारा वन का उपभोग किए जाने से प्रसन्न हूँ। जिन्होंने कार्य सिद्ध किया है, उनका यह (अनुचित) व्यवहार भी क्षमा करने योग्य है, और मैंने उसे क्षमा किया।"
English Commentary
Sugriva displays pragmatic leadership. He establishes the principle that high achievement earns leniency. He explicitly states, "Marshitam" (forgiven), regarding the destruction of his favorite grove because the monkeys are "Krita-karmabhih" (those who have done the deed). He recognizes that the release of tension through celebration is natural for soldiers returning from a high-stakes mission.

यह श्लोक नेतृत्व (Leadership) का एक बड़ा पाठ पढ़ाता है। सुग्रीव कहते हैं कि 'कृतकर्मणाम्' (जिन्होंने काम पूरा कर दिया है) उनके छोटे-मोटे अपराध क्षमा योग्य हैं। परिणाम (Result) प्रक्रिया के उल्लंघन को ढक देता है। सुग्रीव न केवल उन्हें दंड से मुक्त करते हैं बल्कि कहते हैं कि वे 'प्रीत' (खुश) हैं। यह दधिमुख के लिए आधिकारिक आदेश है कि अब उन वानरों को रोका न जाए।
