ततस्तैर्बहुभिर्वीरैर्वानरैर्वानरर्षभः ।
संरक्तनयनैः क्रोधाद्धरयः प्रविचालिताः ।
।
॥५-६३-८॥
Tatastairbahubhirvīrairvānarairvānararṣabhaḥ । Saṃraktanayanaiḥ krodhāddharayaḥ pravicālitāḥ । । ॥5-63-8॥
Translation
"Then, O King of Vanaras, those many heroic Vanaras, with eyes red from anger, drove these monkeys (guards) away."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे वानरराज! तत्पश्चात् उन बहुत से वीर वानरों ने, क्रोध से लाल नेत्र किए हुए, इन रक्षक वानरों को [वहां से] खदेड़ दिया।"
English Commentary
Dadhimukha details the overpowerment of his squad. The attackers had 'red eyes' (Samrakta-nayanaih), a classic sign of both intoxication and fury. Addressing Sugriva as 'Vanararshabha' (Bull/Best of monkeys), Dadhimukha explains that the sheer number and ferocity of the heroes (Hanuman, Angada, etc.) made defense impossible. The guards were not just beaten; they were forcibly routed or driven away ('pravichalitah') from their posts.

'संरक्तनयनैः' (लाल नेत्रों वाले) शब्द के दो अर्थ हो सकते हैं—एक क्रोध के कारण और दूसरा मदिरा (मधु) के नशे के कारण। आक्रमणकारी वानरों की संख्या बहुत अधिक थी ('बहुभिर्वीरै'), इसलिए मुट्ठी भर रक्षक उनके सामने टिक नहीं सके। 'प्रविचालिताः' का अर्थ है कि उन्हें अपने स्थान से हिलने पर, भागने पर मजबूर कर दिया गया। दधिमुख यहाँ अपनी पराजय का कारण शत्रु की संख्या और उनका उग्र रूप बता रहे हैं।
