Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
श्रुत्वा दधिमुखस्येदं वचनं श्लक्ष्णमङ्गदः ।
अब्रवीत्तान् हरिश्रेष्ठो वाक्यं वाक्यविशारदः।
॥५-६४-११॥
Śrutvā dadhimukhasyedaṃ vacanaṃ ślakṣṇamaṅgadaḥ |
Abravīttān hariśreṣṭho vākyaṃ vākyaviśāradaḥ ॥5-64-11॥
Translation
Hearing these smooth and polite words of Dadhimukha, Angada, the best among monkeys and skilled in speech, spoke to the Vanaras.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दधिमुख के इन कोमल वचनों को सुनकर, बोलने में चतुर वानर-श्रेष्ठ अंगद ने उन वानरों से यह बात कही।
English Commentary
Angada is described here as vākyaviśārada (skilled in speech). A hallmark of a great leader is the ability to adapt to the situation. When Dadhimukha was aggressive, Angada was forceful; now that the guard is polite and brings royal orders, Angada shifts gears to being organized and attentive. He recognizes the change in tone and responds appropriately. This verse highlights Angada's maturity; he understands that the interlude of revelry is finished and immediately prepares to address his troops for the next steps.

अंगद को यहाँ 'वाक्यविशारद' (बोलने में निपुण) कहा गया है। एक अच्छे नेता का गुण है कि वह स्थिति के अनुसार अपनी भाषा और टोन बदल लेता है। जब दधिमुख आक्रामक थे, तब अंगद कठोर थे; अब जब दधिमुख विनम्र ('श्लक्ष्ण') हैं, तो अंगद भी शांति और गंभीरता से बात कर रहे हैं। यह श्लोक अंगद की परिपक्वता को दर्शाता है। वे जानते हैं कि अब राजा का बुलावा आ गया है, इसलिए उन्हें अपनी सेना को पुन: अनुशासित कर प्रस्थान के लिए तैयार करना होगा।
