Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सर्वे यथा मां वक्ष्यन्ति समेत्य हरियूथपाः।
तथा ऽस्मि कर्ता कर्तव्ये भवद्भिः परवानहम्।
॥५-६४-१४॥
Sarve yathā māṃ vakṣyanti sametya hariyūthapāḥ |
Tathā 'smi kartā kartavye bhavadbhiḥ paravānaham ॥5-64-14॥
Translation
Whatever you all, the monkey leaders, collectively tell me to do, I shall do regarding our duty. I am dependent on you/at your disposal.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आप सभी वानर सेनापति मिलकर जैसा मुझसे कहेंगे, मैं कर्तव्य-पालन में वैसा ही करूँगा। मैं आप लोगों के अधीन हूँ।
English Commentary
This verse is a stunning example of humble, democratic leadership. Despite being the Crown Prince, Angada tells the veteran leaders (like Hanuman and Jambavan) that he is at their disposal and will act according to their collective decision. He acknowledges that the mission's success belongs to the group, particularly Hanuman. By stating he is paravān (dependent on them), he empowers his team, showing that true authority comes from respect and collaboration, not just royal title. He is asking for their consensus to march, rather than ordering it.

यह श्लोक अंगद की विनम्रता और लोकतांत्रिक नेतृत्व का अद्भुत उदाहरण है। युवराज होते हुए भी, वे हनुमान, जाम्बवान और अन्य वरिष्ठ वानरों से कहते हैं कि "मैं आपके अधीन हूँ"। वे यह स्वीकार करते हैं कि यह सफलता सामूहिक प्रयास का परिणाम है, न कि केवल उनके आदेश का। 'परवानहम्' (मैं दूसरों के वश में हूँ) कहना उनकी महानता है। वे अपनी सत्ता का प्रदर्शन नहीं करते, बल्कि टीम की सहमति (consensus) से आगे बढ़ना चाहते हैं।
