ब्रुवतश्चाङ्गदश्यैवं श्रुत्वा वचनमव्ययम्।
प्रहृष्टमनसो वाक्यमिदमूचुर्वनौकसः।
॥५-६४-१६॥
Bruvataścāṅgadasyaivaṃ śrutvā vacanamavyayam |
Prahṛṣṭamanaso vākyamidamūcurvanaukasaḥ ॥5-64-16॥
Translation
Hearing these unblemished words spoken by Angada thus, the forest-dwellers, with delighted minds, spoke these words.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अंगद के इस प्रकार बोलते हुए उन दोषरहित (अव्यय) वचनों को सुनकर, प्रसन्न मन वाले उन वनवासियों (वानरों) ने यह बात कही।
English Commentary
The immediate impact of Angada’s humility is seen here: the Vanaras are prahṛṣṭamanaso (delighted in mind). When a leader treats his team with such profound respect, it boosts morale and loyalty instantly. Angada’s words are described as avyayam (unblemished/imperishable), implying they were free from the decay of arrogance. This verse serves as a bridge to the Vanaras' response, showcasing the healthy, reciprocal relationship between the commander and his elite force. They are happy not just because of the honey, but because they feel valued.

अंगद की विनम्रता का तत्काल प्रभाव दिखाई देता है। वानर 'प्रहृष्टमनस' (प्रसन्न मन वाले) हो गए। जब एक नेता अपनी टीम को सम्मान देता है, तो टीम का मनोबल बढ़ता है। अंगद के वचनों को 'अव्यय' (दोषरहित/नाशरहित) कहा गया है, जिसका अर्थ है कि उनकी बातों में अहंकार का कोई मेल नहीं था। यह श्लोक नेता और अनुयायियों के बीच के स्वस्थ और सकारात्मक संबंध को दर्शाता है। वानरों की प्रतिक्रिया अंगद के चरित्र प्रमाण पत्र जैसी है।
