Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
उत्पतन्तमनूत्पेतुः सर्वे ते हरियूथपाः ।
कृत्वा ऽ ऽकाशं निराकाशं यन्त्रोत्क्षिप्ता इवाचलाः ।
।
॥५-६४-२२॥
Utpatantamanūtpetuḥ sarve te hariyūthapāḥ |
Kṛtvā ' 'kāśaṃ nirākāśaṃ yantrotkṣiptā ivācalāḥ ॥5-64-22॥
Translation
Following him (Angada) as he flew up, all those monkey commanders flew up too. They filled the sky, looking like mountains thrown by a machine.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(अंगद के) ऊपर उड़ने पर वे सभी वानर-यूथपति भी उनके पीछे उड़ चले। उस समय वे यन्त्र (गुलेल आदि) से फेंके गए पत्थरों (पहाड़ों) के समान आकाश को आच्छादित करते हुए प्रतीत हो रहे थे।
English Commentary
Maharishi Valmiki uses a striking simile here. The speed and massive size of the flying Vanaras are compared to "mountains thrown by a machine" (like a catapult). The phrase "nirakasham" implies they filled the sky so densely that no space was left. This imagery vividly portrays their velocity, power, and massive physical forms, suggesting they moved with the force and momentum of heavy projectiles launched into the air.

महर्षि वाल्मीकि यहाँ एक अद्भुत उपमा का प्रयोग करते हैं। वानरों के उड़ने की गति और उनकी विशालता की तुलना "यन्त्र से फेंके गए पर्वतों" से की गई है। "निराकाशं" का अर्थ है कि उन्होंने आकाश को इतना भर दिया कि खाली जगह नहीं बची। यह उपमा उनके वेग, शक्ति और भारी भरकम शरीरों का सजीव चित्रण करती है। यह दृश्य किसी भारी युद्ध सामग्री के प्रक्षेपण जैसा प्रतीत होता है।
