युवराजस्त्वमीशश्च वनस्यास्य महाबल ।
मौर्ख्यात् पूर्वं कृतो दोषस्तं भवान् क्षन्तुमर्हति ।

॥५-६४-७॥
Yuvarājastvamīśaśca vanasyāsya mahābala |
Maurkhyāt pūrvaṃ kṛto doṣastaṃ bhavān kṣantumarhati ॥5-64-7॥
Translation
O mighty one, you are the Crown Prince (Yuvaraja) and the master of this grove. I beg you to forgive the offense I committed earlier out of foolishness.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे महाबली! आप युवराज हैं और इस वन के स्वामी भी हैं। मूर्खतावश मैंने पहले जो अपराध (विरोध) किया था, उसे आप क्षमा करें।
English Commentary
Here, Dadhimukha apologizes to Angada, acknowledging his authority. Initially, Dadhimukha opposed the Vanaras, mistaking their celebration for mere trespass and vandalism. However, upon realizing that the festivity signals the success of their mission in finding Sita, his perspective shifts completely. He recognizes Angada not just as an intruder, but as the rightful owner (Yuvaraja) of the grove. This verse highlights the virtue of humility; admitting one's mistake when the context changes is a sign of wisdom. Dadhimukha’s transition from aggression to submission sets the stage for a peaceful resolution.

यहाँ दधिमुख अपनी गलती स्वीकार करते हुए अंगद से क्षमा मांग रहे हैं। पहले उन्होंने वानरों को केवल उदंड समझकर रोका था, किन्तु अब उन्हें भान हुआ कि सीता जी की खोज में सफलता मिलने के कारण ही यह उत्सव मनाया जा रहा है। एक सेवक के रूप में, वे युवराज अंगद की सत्ता और अधिकार को स्वीकार करते हैं। यह श्लोक यह भी दर्शाता है कि जब सत्य सामने आता है, तो अहंकार छोड़कर क्षमा मांगना बड़प्पन की निशानी है। दधिमुख का क्रोध अब भक्ति और विनय में बदल गया है।
