ततः सम्भाषिता देवी सर्वमर्थं च दर्शिता ।
रामसुग्रीवसख्यं च श्रुत्वा प्रीतिमुपागता ।

tataḥ sambhāṣitā devī sarvamarthaṃ ca darśitā |
rāmasugrīvasakhyaṃ ca śrutvā prītimupāgatā ॥5-65-16॥
Translation
Thereafter, I conversed with the Devi and explained the entire situation to her. Hearing of the alliance between Rama and Sugriva, she attained great joy.

तदनन्तर, मैंने देवी से वार्तालाप किया और उन्हें सब अर्थ (प्रयोजन/कारण) स्पष्ट किया। राम और सुग्रीव की मित्रता का समाचार सुनकर उन्हें अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई।
English Commentary
This verse marks the turning point from despair to hope for Sita. Hanuman reports that he didn't just deliver a message; he engaged in a dialogue (sambhāṣitā) and explained the "entire object" or plan (sarvamarthaṃ). The crucial piece of intelligence that comforted Sita was the Rāmasugrīvasakhyam—the alliance between Rama and Sugriva. This was vital because it provided a logistical solution to her rescue; Rama was not alone but backed by an army. Hanuman highlights that knowing about this political and military alliance gave her prīti (joy/comfort), assuring her that the rescue mission was tangible and realistic, not just wishful thinking.
