रामस्य गदितं श्रुत्वा हरयो रामसन्निधौ ।
चोदयन्ति हनूमन्तं सीतावृत्तान्तकोविदम् ।

rāmasya gaditaṃ śrutvā harayo rāmasannidhau |
codayanti hanūmantaṃ sītāvṛttāntakovidam ॥5-65-6॥
Translation
Hearing Rama's words, the Vanaras present in Rama's presence urged Hanuman, who was the expert on the news of Sita, to speak.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राम के वचन सुनकर, उनके समीप उपस्थित वानरों ने सीता के वृत्तांत के जानकार हनुमान जी को (बोलने के लिए) प्रेरित किया।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates the protocol and camaraderie among the Vanaras. Although many great warriors were present, they unanimously deferred to Hanuman. The descriptor sītāvṛttāntakovidam (expert/knower of Sita’s news) is significant; it acknowledges that direct experience trumps rank. Only Hanuman had seen the reality of Lanka and spoken to Sita, making him the sole authority or "expert" in this context. The other monkeys urging him forward shows their sensitivity to Rama’s urgency—they did not want to waste time with partial information. It underscores a moment of collective respect where individual egos are set aside for the sake of the mission and their master's emotional need.

यह श्लोक वानर सेना के अनुशासन और हनुमान जी के प्रति उनके सम्मान को प्रदर्शित करता है। यद्यपि अंगद और जाम्बवान जैसे वरिष्ठ योद्धा वहाँ उपस्थित थे, परन्तु सभी ने एकमत होकर हनुमान जी को ही आगे किया। 'सीतावृत्तान्तकोविदम्' विशेषण अत्यंत सुंदर है, जिसका अर्थ है 'सीता के समाचार का विशेषज्ञ'। चूंकि केवल हनुमान ने ही सीता से प्रत्यक्ष संवाद किया था, वे ही इस 'कोविद' (विद्वान/जानकार) की पदवी के योग्य थे। वानरों का हनुमान को प्रेरित करना यह भी दिखाता है कि वे श्री राम की व्याकुलता को समझ रहे थे और चाहते थे कि बिना विलंब के, सबसे प्रामाणिक व्यक्ति ही सत्य का उद्घाटन करे। यह समूह की सामंजस्यपूर्ण कार्यप्रणाली का उदाहरण है।
