किमाह सीता हनुंस्तत्त्वतः कथयाद्य मे ।
एतेन खलु जीविष्ये भेषजेनातुरो यथा ।

Kimāha Sītā Hanuṃstattvataḥ kathayādya me । Etena khalu jīviṣye bheṣajenāturo yathā । । 5.66.14 । । ॥5-66-14॥
Translation
O Hanuman! What did Sita say? Tell me everything truthfully today. I shall indeed survive on those words, just as a sick man survives by means of medicine.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे हनुमान! सीता ने क्या कहा है? आज मुझसे वह सब यथार्थ रूप से कहो। जैसे रोगी औषध (के सहारे) जीवित रहता है, वैसे ही मैं (सीता के) उन वचनों के सहारे ही जीवित रहूँगा।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the intensity of Rama's desperation and love. He equates Sita’s words to Bheshaja (medicine) for a dying man. Rama admits he is Atura (sick/suffering) with separation, and just as a patient clings to life through medication, Rama will hold onto his life solely through the message brought by Hanuman. It signifies that physically Rama may be strong, but emotionally he is fragile without Sita. The metaphor establishes that communication from the beloved is not just comforting, but vital for existence itself.
हिंदी टीका
इस श्लोक में श्रीराम के प्रेम की पराकाष्ठा और उनकी व्याकुलता स्पष्ट होती है। वे हनुमान जी से सीता के कहे एक-एक शब्द को 'औषधि' (दवा) की संज्ञा देते हैं। जैसे कोई मरणासन्न रोगी केवल संजीवनी बूटी या दवा के सहारे सांसें ले पाता है, वैसे ही विरह में जल रहे राम के लिए सीता का संदेश प्राणरक्षक है। यहाँ राम स्वयं को 'आतुर' (रोगी/व्याकुल) कहते हैं, जो यह दर्शाता है कि सीता के बिना उनका जीवन संकट में है। यह उपमा दांपत्य प्रेम की उस गहराई को दिखाती है जहाँ प्रिय का स्मरण ही जीवन का एकमात्र आधार बन जाता है।
