क्षिप्तवांस्त्वं प्रदीप्तं हि दर्भं तं वायसं प्रति ।
ततस्तु वायसं दीप्तः स दर्भो ऽनुजगाम ह ।

Kṣiptavāṃstvaṃ pradīptaṃ hi darbhaṃ taṃ vāyasaṃ prati । Tatastu vāyasaṃ dīptaḥ sa darbho 'nujagāma ha । । 5.67.13 । । ॥5-67-13॥
Translation
"You threw that blazing blade of grass at the crow. Then, that flaming grass pursued the crow."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"आपने उस जलते हुए दर्भ को कौए की ओर चलाया। तब वह जलता हुआ दर्भ उस कौए का पीछा करने लगा।"
English Commentary
Rama released the weapon. The verse describes the relentless nature of the Brahmastra. Once released (Kshiptavan), the blazing grass followed (Anujagama) the crow wherever it went. Unlike a normal arrow that follows a trajectory, this divinely charged weapon tracked its target. It serves as a metaphor for inescapable karma; once a grave offense is committed against the divine, the consequences pursue the offender relentlessly.

राम ने अस्त्र छोड़ दिया। ब्रह्मास्त्र की विशेषता यह है कि यह लक्ष्य का पीछा नहीं छोड़ता। जैसे ही राम ने तिनका फेंका, वह कौए के पीछे लग गया। यहाँ 'अनुजगाम' (पीछा किया) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है। जयन्त जहाँ भी भागा, वह अग्नि उसके पीछे-पीछे गई। यह कर्म के सिद्धांत जैसा है—एक बार पाप करने के बाद, उसका फल (दंड) व्यक्ति का पीछा करता ही है, चाहे वह कहीं भी चला जाए।
