शक्तौ तौ पुरुषव्याघ्रौ वाय्वग्निसमतेजसौ ।
सुराणामपि दुर्धर्षौ किमर्थं मामुपेक्षतः ।

Śaktau tau puruṣavyāghrau vāyvagnisamatejasau । Surāṇāmapi durdharṣau kimarthaṃ māmupekṣataḥ । । 5.67.23।। ॥5-67-23॥
Translation
"Those two tigers among men possess brilliance equal to wind and fire and are unconquerable even by the gods. Being capable, why do they neglect me?"
हिंदी अनुवाद
"वे दोनों पुरुष-व्याघ्र (राम और लक्ष्मण) वायु और अग्नि के समान तेजस्वी हैं और देवताओं के लिए भी अजेय हैं। समर्थ होते हुए भी वे मेरी उपेक्षा क्यों कर रहे हैं?"
English Commentary
Sita compares the brothers to elemental forces—Wind (Vayu) for speed and Fire (Agni) for destructive radiance. She asserts they are Durdharshau (unassailable) even by the gods. The core of her anguish lies in the word Upekshatah (neglect). Knowing they have the power (Shaktau) to destroy Lanka instantly, she struggles to understand their inaction. It is harder to bear the thought of being forgotten or neglected by capable loved ones than to believe they are unable to help.

सीता जी राम और लक्ष्मण की तुलना 'वायु' और 'अग्नि' से करती हैं—जिनका वेग और ताप कोई नहीं रोक सकता। 'सुराणामपि दुर्धर्षौ' का अर्थ है कि देवता भी उनसे युद्ध में नहीं जीत सकते, फिर रावण क्या है? सीता की पीड़ा का मूल कारण 'उपेक्षा' (अनदेखा करना) है। यदि वे असमर्थ होते तो सीता को संतोष होता कि वे विवश हैं, परन्तु जब वे 'शक्तौ' (शक्तिशाली/समर्थ) हैं, तो उनका न आना सीता को यह सोचने पर मजबूर कर रहा है कि शायद वे उन्हें भूल गए हैं।
