वैदेह्या वचनं श्रुत्वा करुणं साश्रुभाषितम् ।
पुनरप्यहमार्यां तामिदं वचनमब्रुवम् ।

Vaidehyā vacanaṃ śrutvā karuṇaṃ sāśrubhāṣitam । Punarapyahamāryāṃ tāmidam vacanamabruvam । । 5.67.25।। ॥5-67-25॥
Translation
(Hanuman said:) "Hearing those pitiful words of Vaidehi spoken amidst tears, I spoke these words to that noble lady again."

(हनुमान जी बोले:) "वैदेही (सीता) के वे करुणाजनक और आंसुओं से भरे हुए वचन सुनकर, मैंने उस आर्या (देवी) से पुनः यह वचन कहा।"
English Commentary
Hanuman shifts from listening to comforting. Witnessing Sita’s tearful breakdown (Sashrubhashitam) and her self-blame moves him deeply. He realizes that Sita feels abandoned. Addressing her respectfully as Arya (Noble Lady), Hanuman prepares to counter her doubts. The verse serves as a transition, marking the moment Hanuman steps in to defend Rama's position and lift Sita's spirits from the depths of despair.

यहाँ से हनुमान जी अपनी भूमिका बदलते हैं—श्रोता से आश्वासनदाता की। सीता के आंसुओं ('साश्रुभाषितम्') और आत्म-दोष ने हनुमान को विचलित कर दिया। वे समझ गए कि सीता को अब केवल राम के संदेश की नहीं, बल्कि भावनात्मक संबल की आवश्यकता है। हनुमान उन्हें 'आर्या' (कुलीन/सम्माननीय) कहकर संबोधित करते हैं, जो उनके मन में सीता के प्रति अपार श्रद्धा को दर्शाता है। वे सीता के भ्रम और निराशा को दूर करने के लिए सत्य बताने का उपक्रम करते।
