Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अथाहमुत्तरं देव्या पुनरुक्तः ससम्भ्रमः ।
तव स्नेहान्नरव्याघ्र सौहार्दादनुमान्य वै ।
।
॥५-६८-१॥
Athāhamuttaraṃ devyā punaruktaḥ sasambhramaḥ । Tava snehānnaravyāghra sauhārdādanumānya vai । । ॥5-68-1॥
Translation
(Hanuman says) O Tiger among men! Thereafter, out of affection for you and friendliness towards me, the Devi honoured me and spoke to me again, with a flutter of emotion.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(हनुमान जी कहते हैं) हे नरव्याघ्र (राम)! तत्पश्चात् (संदेश देने के बाद), आपके प्रति स्नेह और मेरे प्रति सौहार्द (मित्रता/वात्सल्य) के कारण, देवी सीता ने मेरा सम्मान करके घबराहट के साथ पुनः मुझसे कहा।
English Commentary
In this verse, Hanuman recounts a specific, intimate moment occurring right before his departure from Lanka. He explains why Sita spoke again: out of sneha (love) for Rama and sauharda (friendship/goodwill) for Hanuman. The term sasambhramaḥ indicates a state of agitation or flurry. Sita was desperate to prolong the connection. Having found a compassionate soul in the middle of hell, she was reluctant to let him go. Hanuman clarifies to Rama that her additional words were born out of deep emotional attachment, not just strategic necessity. It highlights the bond formed between the Mother and the Son (Hanuman).

यह श्लोक 'फ्लैशबैक' की तरह है जहाँ हनुमान जी राम को बता रहे हैं कि मुख्य संदेश देने के बाद भी सीता जी का मन नहीं भरा था। 'तव स्नेहात्' (आपके स्नेह के कारण) और 'सौहार्दात्' (मेरे प्रति सौहार्द के कारण)—ये दो कारण थे कि सीता ने उन्हें रोका। सीता जी का हनुमान के प्रति 'सौहार्द' अब एक गहरा रिश्ता बन चुका था। उन्हें जाने देना सीता के लिए कठिन हो रहा था। 'ससम्भ्रमः' (घबराहट या हड़बड़ी के साथ) दर्शाता है कि जैसे-जैसे विदाई का पल पास आ रहा था, सीता जी की व्याकुलता बढ़ रही थी कि कहीं कोई बात कहने से रह न जाए।
