तदर्थोपहितं वाक्यं प्रश्रितं हेतुसंहितम् ।
निशम्याहं ततः शेषं वाक्यमुत्तरमब्रुवम् ।

Hearing her statement, which was meaningful, polite, and full of reason, I then spoke the remaining reply.

English Commentary
Here, Hanuman (narrating the event) characterizes Sita's speech before describing his response. He notes three specific qualities of her words: 'arthopahitaṃ' (laden with meaning/purpose), 'praśritaṃ' (polite/modest), and 'hetusaṃhitam' (logical/reasoned). This is significant because it validates Sita’s refusal to escape with him not as stubbornness, but as a reasoned stance based on Dharma. Hanuman appreciates that despite her suffering, she remained courteous and logical. This verse acts as a bridge, transitioning from Sita's conditions for rescue to Hanuman's reassurance regarding the capacity of the Vanara army to fulfill those exact conditions.
