देवि हर्यृक्षसैन्यानामीश्वरः प्लवतां वरः ।
सुग्रीवः सत्त्वसम्पन्नस्तवार्थे कृतनिश्चयः ।

Translation
O Devi, the lord of the armies of monkeys and bears, the best of those who jump (Vanaras), Sugriva, who is endowed with strength, is determined for your cause.

हे देवी! वानरों और रीछों की सेनाओं के स्वामी, वानरों में श्रेष्ठ, और बल-संपन्न सुग्रीव आपके कार्य (उद्धार) के लिए दृढ़ निश्चय किए हुए हैं।
English Commentary
Responding to Sita's initial doubt about the army's ability to cross the ocean, Hanuman introduces the commander-in-chief, Sugriva. He uses respectful and powerful descriptors: 'Ishvara' (Lord/Master) of the armies and 'plavatāṃ varaḥ' (best among jumpers). He assures Sita that Sugriva is 'sattvasampanna' (endowed with true essence/strength) and, crucially, 'kṛtaniścayaḥ' (firmly resolved) for her sake. This addresses the question of intent. Hanuman conveys that this is not just a vague plan but a fixed resolution by the King of Vanaras himself. By highlighting Sugriva's determination, Hanuman begins to dismantle Sita's skepticism about the logistical feasibility of the rescue mission.

सीता जी की शंका (श्लोक 8) के उत्तर में हनुमान जी अब सुग्रीव की क्षमता और संकल्प का वर्णन करते हैं। वे सीता को 'देवी' कहकर संबोधित करते हैं और सुग्रीव को 'ईश्वरः' (स्वामी/प्रभु) और 'सत्त्वसम्पन्न' (बल और धैर्य से युक्त) बताते हैं। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण वाक्यांश है 'स्तवार्थे कृतनिश्चयः' (तुम्हारे लिए निश्चय कर चुके हैं)। हनुमान जी सीता को आश्वस्त कर रहे हैं कि सेनापति केवल सक्षम ही नहीं है, बल्कि वह वचनबद्ध भी है। यह सीता के मन से इस भय को निकालने का प्रयास है कि वानर सेना समुद्र कैसे पार करेगी। जब राजा (सुग्रीव) स्वयं कृतनिश्चय हो, तो सेना असंभव को भी संभव कर सकती है।
