तस्य विक्रमसम्पन्नाः सत्त्ववन्तो महाबलाः ।
मनस्सङ्कल्पसम्पाता निदेशे हरयः स्थिताः ।

tasya vikramasampannāḥ sattvavanto mahābalāḥ |
manassaṅkalpasampātā nideśe harayaḥ sthitāḥ ॥5-68-18॥
Translation
Under his command are monkeys who are endowed with valor, possessed of strength, mighty, and who can move as fast as the mind's resolve.

उस (सुग्रीव) के आदेश में ऐसे वानर स्थित हैं जो पराक्रम से युक्त, धैर्यवान, महाबली और मन के संकल्प के समान (तेज) गति वाले हैं।
English Commentary
Hanuman describes the capabilities of the troops to allay Sita's fears. He characterizes the Vanaras under Sugriva’s command as 'vikramasampannāḥ' (endowed with valor) and 'mahābalāḥ' (mighty). The most poetic and significant descriptor is 'manassaṅkalpasampātā'—those who can travel or descend with the speed of a mental thought/resolve. This answers the logistical question of crossing the ocean: physical barriers do not constrain beings who move with the speed of thought. Furthermore, stating they are 'nideśe sthitāḥ' (standing ready at command) emphasizes discipline. Hanuman paints a picture of a supernatural, highly disciplined force capable of executing the impossible, countering Sita's realistic concerns with the reality of their divine lineage.

हनुमान जी अब सुग्रीव की सेना की गुणवत्ता का वर्णन करते हैं। सीता जी ने प्रश्न किया था कि सेना समुद्र कैसे पार करेगी, उसका उत्तर यहाँ 'मनस्सङ्कल्पसम्पाता' (मन के संकल्प की गति से चलने वाले) शब्द में है। जैसे मन क्षण भर में कहीं भी पहुँच सकता है, वैसे ही ये वानर हैं। वे 'निदेशे स्थिताः' (आदेश में स्थित/अनुशासित) हैं, अर्थात वे अनियंत्रित भीड़ नहीं, अपितु एक अनुशासित सेना हैं। 'विक्रमसम्पन्नाः' और 'महाबलाः' जैसे विशेषण यह विश्वास दिलाने के लिए हैं कि यह कोई साधारण जानवरों का झुंड नहीं, बल्कि दैवीय शक्ति से युक्त योद्धाओं का समूह है जो रावण की सेना का सामना करने में सक्षम है।
