ततो मया वाग्भिरदीनभाषिणा शिवाभिरिष्टाभिरभिप्रसादिता ।
जगाम शान्तिं मम मैथिलात्मजा तवापि शोकेन तदा ऽभिपीडिता ।

tato mayā vāgbhiradīnabhāṣiṇā śivābhiriṣṭābhirabhiprasāditā |
jagāma śāntiṃ mama maithilātmajā tavāpi śokena tadā 'bhipīḍitā ॥5-68-29॥
Translation
(Hanuman to Rama): Then, propitiated by me—who speaks with confidence—with these auspicious and agreeable words, the daughter of Mithila (Sita) attained peace, although she was still tormented by grief for you.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(हनुमान राम से कहते हैं): तदनन्तर, मुझ अदीनभाषी (आत्मविश्वास पूर्ण बोलने वाले) के द्वारा इन कल्याणकारी और प्रिय वचनों से प्रसन्न की गईं मिथिलेशकुमारी (सीता) ने, आपके शोक से पीड़ित होते हुए भी, उस समय शांति प्राप्त की।
English Commentary
The narrative voice shifts back to the present, with Hanuman addressing Rama. He summarizes the effect of his speech on Sita. He describes his own tone as 'adīnabhāṣiṇā' (speaking without depression/with spirited confidence). His words were 'śivā' (auspicious) and 'iṣṭā' (desirable/agreeable). The result was that Sita 'jagāma śāntiṃ' (attained peace/composure). However, Hanuman truthfully adds that she remained 'abhipīḍitā' (tormented) by grief for Rama. This balance is crucial: he comforted her, but her suffering continues until Rama arrives. It serves as a spur to action for Rama, confirming that while Sita is alive and hopeful, she is still in pain and waiting.

यह सर्ग का अंतिम श्लोक है। यहाँ कथा का दृश्य लंका से हटकर वापस राम की सभा में आ जाता है जहाँ हनुमान अपना वृत्तांत सुना रहे हैं। हनुमान स्वयं को 'अदीनभाषिणा' (जो दीनता से नहीं, अपितु उत्साह और तेज से बोलता है) कहते हैं। उन्होंने सीता को 'शिवाभिरिष्टाभिः' (कल्याणकारी और प्रिय) वचनों से 'अभिप्रसादिता' (प्रसन्न/शांत) किया। यद्यपि सीता 'तवापि शोकेन' (आपके शोक से) पीड़ित थीं, फिर भी हनुमान के वचनों ने उन्हें तात्कालिक 'शान्तिं' (सांत्वना) प्रदान की। यह श्लोक हनुमान की वाक-सिद्धि और दूत-कार्य की सफलता का प्रमाण पत्र है। उन्होंने सीता को प्राण-त्याग के विचार से हटाकर आशा के प्रकाश में ला खड़ा किया।
