निवेशनानां विभिन्नाश्च शालाः प्रधानशङ्खायुधचापशालाः ।
मनोहराश्चापि पुनर्विशाला ददर्श वेश्माद्रिषु चन्द्रशालाः ॥ ॥५-७-२॥
Niveśanānāṃ vividhāśca śālāḥ pradhānaśaṅkhāyudhacāpaśālāḥ |
Manoharāścāpi punarviśālā dadarśa veśmādriṣu candraśālāḥ ॥5-7-2॥
Translation
He saw various residential halls, and halls for excellent conches, weapons, and bows. He also saw captivating and spacious 'Chandra-shalas' (moon-chambers or penthouses) upon that mountain-like structure.

उन्होंने (विमान के भीतर) रहने के विविध कक्ष, श्रेष्ठ शंखों, अस्त्र-शस्त्रों और धनुषों को रखने की शालाएं देखीं। साथ ही, उन्होंने उस कृत्रिम पर्वत रूपी विमान पर मन को हरने वाली विशाल चंद्रशालाएं (attics/top floors) भी देखी।
English Commentary
The self-sufficiency of the Pushpaka Vimana is highlighted here. It wasn't just for transport but functioned as a mobile fortress, equipped with armories ('chapashala') and stores for war-conches. The term 'veshmadrishu' suggests the structure was so laden with buildings that it resembled a mountain. Hanuman also observed 'Chandra-shalas'—top-floor pavilions or attics designed for leisure and viewing the moon. This combination depicts the Vimana as a blend of a luxury liner and a battleship.

पुष्पक विमान की आत्मनिर्भरता यहाँ स्पष्ट होती है। इसमें केवल सीटें नहीं थीं, बल्कि शस्त्रागार ('चापशाला') और शंख-कक्ष भी थे, जो इसे एक युद्धक विमान (battleship) बनाते थे। 'वेश्माद्रिषु' शब्द का प्रयोग किया गया है, जिसका अर्थ है कि वह विमान भवनों के कारण एक पर्वत जैसा लगता था। 'चन्द्रशाला' महल के सबसे ऊपरी कक्ष (penthouse) को कहते हैं जो हवादार और खुले होते हैं, जहाँ से चाँदनी का आनंद लिया जा सकता है। यह विलासिता और युद्ध क्षमता का अनूठा मिश्रण था।
