तानि प्रयत्नाभिसमाहितानि मयेन साक्षादिव निर्मितानि ।
महीतले सर्वगुणोत्तराणि ददर्श लङ्काधिपतेर्गृहाणि ॥ ॥५-७-४॥
Tāni prayatnābhisamāhitāni mayena sākṣādiva nirmitāni |
Mahītale sarvaguṇottarāṇi dadarśa laṅkādhipatergṛhāṇi ॥5-7-4॥
Translation
Those houses of the Lord of Lanka were constructed with great effort. They were superior in all qualities on the face of the earth, appearing as if built by Maya (the divine architect of Asuras) himself.
हिंदी अनुवाद
लंकाधिपति (रावण) के वे भवन अत्यंत प्रयत्न से बनाए गए थे। वे पृथ्वी तल पर सभी गुणों में श्रेष्ठ थे और ऐसे लगते थे मानो साक्षात् मय (दानवों के शिल्पकार) ने ही उनका निर्माण किया हो।
English Commentary
'Mayena sakshadiva nirmitani' invokes Maya Danava, the celestial architect of the Asuras (and Ravana's father-in-law). The craftsmanship was so exquisite it seemed divine. The phrase 'prayatnabhisamahitani' indicates that these structures were not built hastily but with immense effort and precision. They were 'sarvagunottarani'—surpassing all others on earth in quality, aesthetics, and structural integrity. This emphasizes that Ravana’s abode represented the pinnacle of architectural achievement in the mortal world.

'मयेन साक्षादिव निर्मितानि'—मय दानव रावण का ससुर और असुरों का महान वास्तुकार (architect) था। यहाँ कहा गया है कि शिल्पकारी इतनी सूक्ष्म और भव्य थी कि लगता था स्वयं विश्वकर्मा या मय ने इसे बनाया है। 'प्रयत्नाभिसमाहितानि' दर्शाता है कि इनके निर्माण में वर्षों का परिश्रम और बारीकी (attention to detail) लगी थी। पृथ्वी पर ऐसा कोई अन्य भवन नहीं था जो गुणों (सौंदर्य, मजबूती, सुविधा) में इनकी बराबरी कर सके।
