तन्नियोगे नियुक्तेन कृतं कृत्यं हनूमता ।
न चात्मा लघुतां नीतः सुग्रीवश्चापि तोषितः ॥६-१-११॥
tanniyoge niyuktena kṛtaṃ kṛtyaṃ hanūmatā । na cātmā laghutāṃ nītaḥ sugrīvaścāpi toṣitaḥ ॥6-1-11॥
Translation
Appointed to that task, Hanuman has accomplished the deed. He has not brought himself to smallness (disgrace), and Sugriva has also been pleased.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस (सीता की खोज के) कार्य में नियुक्त हनुमान ने अपना कर्तव्य पूरा किया है। उन्होंने न तो अपने आप को (विफलता या दीनता से) लघुता (छोटापन) को प्राप्त कराया और न ही सुग्रीव को अप्रसन्न किया (अपि तु सुग्रीव को भी संतुष्ट किया)।
English Commentary
Shri Rama summarizes Hanuman's execution. By succeeded, Hanuman preserved his own dignity ('atma na laghutāṃ nītaḥ')—he did not return in shame or defeat. A failed messenger brings disgrace to himself and his master. Furthermore, he pleased Sugriva. This is crucial because Sugriva's life and honor depended on the success of the search party. Hanuman saved his master from the stigma of a broken promise. This shloka highlights the dual responsibility of a high-ranking official: protecting one's own honor while ensuring the master's satisfaction.

श्री राम निष्कर्ष निकालते हैं कि हनुमान 'पुरुषोत्तम' सेवक की श्रेणी में आते हैं। 'न चात्मा लघुतां नीतः' अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण वाक्यांश है। इसका अर्थ है कि हनुमान ने ऐसा कोई कार्य नहीं किया जिससे उनके स्वाभिमान या प्रतिष्ठा में कमी आए (जैसे पकड़े जाना, हार जाना, या दया की भीख मांगना)। उन्होंने राजसी ठाठ से कार्य किया। साथ ही, उन्होंने सुग्रीव को भी 'तोषित' (संतुष्ट) किया, क्योंकि यदि हनुमान असफल होते, तो सुग्रीव श्री राम के कोप का भाजन बनते और वचन-भंग के दोषी होते। हनुमान ने सुग्रीव के सम्मान की भी रक्षा की।
