कृतं हनुमता कार्यं सुमहद्भुवि दुष्करम् ।
मनसापि यदन्येन न शक्यं धरणीतले ॥६-१-२॥
kṛtaṃ hanumatā kāryaṃ sumahadbhuvi duṣkaram । manasāpi yadanyena na śakyaṃ dharaṇītale ॥6-1-2॥
Translation
Hanuman has accomplished a task of great magnitude on this earth, one that is immensely difficult to perform; a deed which no one else on the surface of the earth could even conceive of in their mind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हनुमान ने पृथ्वी पर वह महान और अत्यंत दुष्कर (कठिन) कार्य किया है, जिसे इस धरा पर किसी अन्य व्यक्ति द्वारा मन से सोचना भी संभव नहीं है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama validates the superhuman nature of Hanuman's feat. The crossing of the ocean and infiltrating Lanka is described not just as physically hard, but conceptually impossible for others. By stating that others cannot even achieve this in their 'mind' (manasāpi), Shri Rama elevates Hanuman above all other warriors and beings on earth. Scholarly, this establishes the magnitude of the achievement before the war begins—Lanka is not easily accessible. Devotionally, it underscores that a true devotee (Bhakta), empowered by dedication to the Lord, can transcend the limitations of the material world. It establishes Hanuman as the 'Asadhya-sadhaka' (executor of the impossible).

श्री राम यहाँ हनुमान जी के पौरुष की मुक्त कंठ से प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं। सौ योजन के समुद्र को लांघना और शत्रु के दुर्गम किले में प्रवेश करना केवल शारीरिक बल का प्रदर्शन नहीं था, अपितु यह अदम्य साहस का प्रमाण था। श्री राम कहते हैं कि सामान्य जन जिस कार्य की कल्पना ('मनसापि') भी नहीं कर सकते, उसे हनुमान ने प्रत्यक्ष कर दिखाया। यहाँ 'दुष्करम्' शब्द का प्रयोग कर श्री राम यह स्वीकार करते हैं कि यह कार्य किसी साधारण वानर, मानव या सामान्य देव की क्षमता से परे था। यह श्लोक हनुमान जी की 'अतुलितबलधामम्' की छवि को पुष्ट करता है और यह सिद्ध करता है कि प्रभु की कृपा और भक्त के संकल्प से असंभव भी संभव हो जाता है।
