रावणस्य च बाणौघै रामविस्फारितेन च ।
शब्देन राक्षसास्ते च पेतुश्च शतशस्तदा ॥६-१००-१६॥
rāvaṇasya ca bāṇaughai rāmavisphāritena ca |
śabdena rākṣasāste ca petuśca śataśastadā ॥6-100-16॥
Translation
Due to the multitude of Ravana's arrows (hitting monkeys) and the sound of Shri Rama's bow twanging, the Rakshasas also fell in hundreds then.
हिंदी अनुवाद
रावण के बाणों के समूह से और श्रीश्री राम के धनुष की टंकार के शब्द से (डरकर) वे राक्षस उस समय सैकड़ों की संख्या में गिरने लगे।
English Commentary
A parallel is drawn: Ravana uses physical arrows to fell the monkeys, while Shri Rama uses the mere sound of his bow to terrify and fell the Rakshasas. This juxtaposition highlights the difference in their power—one relies on weaponry, the other on intrinsic, resonant power.

युद्धक्षेत्र में विचित्र स्थिति है। एक ओर रावण के बाण वानरों को गिरा रहे हैं, तो दूसरी ओर श्रीश्री राम के धनुष की केवल 'ध्वनि' से राक्षस भयभीत होकर गिर रहे हैं। यह श्रीश्री राम के आध्यात्मिक तेज का प्रभाव है कि उनका स्वर ही शत्रुओं के प्राण सुखाने के लिए पर्याप्त है।
