एकमेकेन बाणेन त्रिभिस्त्रीन् दशभिर्दश ।
लक्ष्मणस्य प्रचिच्छेद दर्शयन् पाणिलाघवम् ॥६-१००-२०॥
ekamekena bāṇena tribhistrīn daśabhirdaśa |
lakṣmaṇasya praciccheda darśayan pāṇilāghavam ॥6-100-20॥
Translation
He cut off Lakshmana's one arrow with one, three with three, and ten with ten, displaying the dexterity of his hands.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसने लक्ष्मण के एक बाण को एक से, तीन को तीन से और दस को दस बाणों से काट दिया और अपने हाथ की सफाई (हस्तलाघव) दिखाई।
English Commentary
The symmetry of the counter-attack—one for one, ten for ten—highlights Ravana's absolute control. He is 'displaying' ('darśayan') his manual dexterity ('pāṇilāghavam'). It is a psychological move to show that he can match Lakshmana's speed effortlessly.

रावण ने गणितीय सटीकता के साथ उत्तर दिया। 'पाणिलाघवम्' (हाथ की फुर्ती) दर्शनीय है। यह केवल रक्षा नहीं, बल्कि कौशल का प्रदर्शन है। वह लक्ष्मण को यह जताना चाहता है कि वह हर वार का सधा हुआ उत्तर देने में सक्षम है।
