Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ताञ्शरौघांस्ततो भल्लैस्तीक्ष्णैश्चिच्छेद राघवः ।
दीप्यमानान् महाघोरान् क्रुद्धानाशीविषानिव ॥६-१००-२४॥
tāñśaraughāṃstato bhallaistīkṣṇaiściccheda rāghavaḥ |
dīpyamānān mahāghorān kruddhānāśīviṣāniva ॥6-100-24॥
Translation
Then Raghava cut off those multitudes of shining, extremely terrible arrows, which were like angry poisonous snakes, with his sharp Bhalla arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब राघव ने उन जलते हुए, अत्यंत भयानक और क्रुद्ध विषधरों (सांपों) के समान बाण-समूहों को अपने तीखे भल्लों से काट दिया।
English Commentary
Ravana's arrows are lethal and sentient-like, compared to 'angry venomous snakes' ('kruddhān āśīviṣān'). Shri Rama neutralizes this toxicity with surgical precision using his Bhalla arrows. The imagery suggests that Shri Rama is cutting down venomous threats before they can strike.

रावण के बाणों की तुलना 'क्रुद्ध आशीविष' (जहरीले सांपों) से की गई है। श्रीश्री राम ने उन्हें अपने भल्लों से काट दिया। यह बुराई की शक्ति (सांप) को धर्म की शक्ति (श्री राम के बाण) द्वारा नष्ट करने का प्रतीक है।
