सन्ततं विविधैर्बाणैर्बभूव गगनं तदा ।
घनैरिवातपापाये विद्युन्मालासमाकुलैः ॥६-१००-२८॥
santataṃ vividhairbāṇairbabhūva gaganaṃ tadā |
ghanairivātapāpāye vidyunmāl samākulaiḥ ॥6-100-28॥
Translation
The sky then became continuously covered with various arrows, just as it is covered by clouds filled with garlands of lightning at the end of summer (start of rainy season).
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस समय आकाश विविध बाणों से निरंतर (ऐसे) ढक गया, जैसे वर्षाकाल के अंत में (या आगमन पर) बादलों से और बिजली की मालाओं से आकाश भर जाता है।
English Commentary
The sky is completely obscured ('santataṃ') by arrows. The simile of storm clouds ('ghanaiḥ') with lightning ('vidyunmālā') captures both the density of the arrows and the flashes of their metallic/golden tips. It creates an atmosphere of a metallic storm.

बाणों की चमक और घनत्व का वर्णन है। सोने के पंखों वाले बाण जब आकाश में उड़ते हैं तो वे 'विद्युन्माला' (बिजली की लड़ी) जैसे लगते हैं। आकाश दिखाई देना बंद हो गया है। यह दृश्य युद्ध की सघनता को प्रस्तुत करता है।
