बभूव तुमुलं युद्धमन्योन्यवधकाङ्क्षिणोः ।
अनासाद्यमचिन्त्यं च वृत्रवासवयोरिव ॥६-१००-३१॥
babhūva tumulaṃ yuddhamanyonyavadhakāṅkṣiṇoḥ |
anāsādyamacintyaṃ ca vṛtravāsavayoriva ॥6-100-31॥
Translation
The battle between the two, desiring each other's death, became tumultuous, unapproachable, and unimaginable, like the battle between Vritra and Vasava (Indra).
हिंदी अनुवाद
एक-दूसरे के वध की आकांक्षा रखने वाले उन दोनों का युद्ध अत्यंत तुमुल (घोर), दूसरों के लिए अगम्य और अचिंत्य हो गया, जैसे वृत्रासुर और इंद्र (वासव) का युद्ध था।
English Commentary
The reference to the Vritra-Indra battle establishes this duel as the ultimate archetype of Good vs. Evil. It is 'acintyaṃ' (unimaginable) to ordinary minds. The intensity is such that no one else can approach ('anāsādyam') or intervene; it is a fight to the finish.

इस युद्ध की तुलना पौराणिक 'वृत्र-वासव' युद्ध से की गई है, जो वैदिक साहित्य का सबसे प्रसिद्ध युद्ध है। यह 'अचिंत्य' (कल्पना से परे) है। दोनों का लक्ष्य एक ही है—'अन्योन्यवध' (एक दूसरे की मृत्यु)। कोई संधि या समझौते की गुंजाइश नहीं है।
