ससर्जास्त्रं महोत्साहः पावकं पावकोपमः ।
अग्निदीप्तमुखान् बाणांस्तथा सूर्यमुखानपि ॥६-१००-४६॥
sasarjāstraṃ mahotsāhaḥ pāvakaṃ pāvakopamaḥ |
agnidīptamukhān bāṇāṃstathā sūryamukhānapi ॥6-100-46॥
Translation
...released the 'Pavaka' (Fire) Astra with great energy, he who was himself like fire. (From it came) arrows with faces blazing like fire and faces like the sun.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...महान उत्साह के साथ अग्नि के समान तेजस्वी (श्री राम) ने 'पावक' (आग्नेय) अस्त्र छोड़ा। (उससे) अग्नि के समान जलते हुए मुख वाले और सूर्य के समान मुख वाले बाण (निकले)।
English Commentary
To counter the illusionary creatures, Shri Rama uses the 'Pavaka' (Fire/Agneya) Astra. Fire purifies and destroys illusions. Shri Rama is described as 'like fire' himself, indicating his purity and destructive power against evil. His arrows manifest as blazing fire and suns, representing the triumph of light over the shadow creatures of Ravana.

श्रीश्री राम ने 'महोत्साह' (पूरे उत्साह) से 'पावक' (आग्नेय) अस्त्र चलाया। रावण की माया (अंधकार/जीव-जंतु) को जलाने के लिए अग्नि सर्वश्रेष्ठ है। श्री राम स्वयं 'पावकोपमः' (अग्नि तुल्य) हैं। उनके बाणों के मुख अब अग्नि और सूर्य जैसे हैं—जो शुद्ध प्रकाश और ताप के प्रतीक हैं।
