Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
उत्पपात रजो घोरं तैर्बमैः सम्प्रधावितैः ।
न हि तत् सहितुं शेकुर्ब्रह्मणा निर्मितं स्वयम् ॥६-१००-९॥
utpapāta rajo ghoraṃ tairbhamaiḥ sampradhāvitaiḥ |
na hi tat sahituṃ śekurbrahmaṇā nirmitaṃ svayam ॥6-100-9॥
Translation
A terrible dust cloud arose from their running and fleeing. They could not withstand that weapon which was created by Brahma himself.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन (वानरों) के भागने और दौड़ने से भयानक धूल उड़ी। वे वानर स्वयं ब्रह्माजी द्वारा निर्मित उस अस्त्र को सहन करने में समर्थ नहीं हो सके।
English Commentary
The panic caused by the Astra raises a massive cloud of dust. The text emphasizes the potency of the weapon by stating it was created by Lord Brahma himself. Against such divine ordinance, the physical strength of the Vanaras was insufficient, forcing them to retreat.
हिंदी टीका
तामस अस्त्र का प्रभाव इतना प्रबल था कि वानर सेना में भगदड़ मच गई। इस अस्त्र की शक्ति का स्रोत स्वयं 'ब्रह्मा' हैं ('ब्रह्मणा निर्मितं'), इसलिए सामान्य योद्धाओं के लिए इसका सामना करना असंभव था। वानरों की विवशता यहाँ स्पष्ट दिखाई देती है।
