Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सा पपात त्रिधा च्छिन्ना शक्तिः काञ्चनमालिनी ।
सविस्फुलिङ्गा ज्वलिता महोल्केव दिवश्च्युता ॥६-१०१-२१॥
sā papāta tridhā cchinnā śaktiḥ kāñcanamālinī |
savisphuliṅgā jvalitā mahōlkeva divaścyutā ॥6-101-21॥
Translation
That Shakti missile, adorned with golden bands, fell to the ground in three pieces, appearing like a great meteor falling from the sky with sparks and flames.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह सुवर्ण की मालाओं से सजी शक्ति तीन टुकड़ों में कटकर, चिनगारियों और ज्वाला के साथ आकाश से गिरती हुई महान उल्का के समान भूमि पर गिर पड़ी।
English Commentary
The description of the Shakti falling is intensely visual. The analogy to a 'great meteor' depicts its former potency and current destruction. The sparks ('Savisphulinga') were the result of the friction caused by Shri Lakshmana's impact. It is a visual representation of the weapons of unrighteousness being reduced to dust.

शक्ति के गिरने का वर्णन अत्यंत दृश्यमयी (Visual) है। 'महोल्केव' (महान उल्का के समान) उपमा उसकी पूर्व की प्रचंडता और वर्तमान पतन को दर्शाती है। चिनगारियाँ (सविस्फुलिङ्गा) उस घर्षण का परिणाम थीं जो लक्ष्मण जी के बाणों के आघात से उत्पन्न हुआ। यह अधर्म के अस्त्रों के धूल में मिलने का दृश्य है।
