एषा ते हृदयं भित्त्वा शक्तिर्लोहितलक्षणा ।
मद्बाहुपरिघोत्सृष्टा प्राणानादाय यास्यति ॥६-१०१-२९॥
ēṣā tē hṛdayaṃ bhittvā śaktirlōhitalakṣaṇā |
madbāhuparighōtsṛṣṭā prāṇānādāya yāsyati ॥6-101-29॥
Translation
This Shakti, marked with blood and released from my arms which are like iron clubs, will pierce Your heart and depart with Your life.
हिंदी अनुवाद
रक्त से रंजित यह शक्ति, जो मेरी परिघ के समान भुजाओं से छोड़ी गई है, तुम्हारे हृदय को चीर कर तुम्हारे प्राणों को लेकर चली जाएगी।
English Commentary
Ravana's resolve is exceedingly cruel and definitive. The term 'Lohitalakshana' (marked with blood) hints at the weapon's bloody history and future carnage. He speaks of striking the heart directly, which signifies certain death. Ravana is exhibiting his full, primal demonic force here.

रावण का यह संकल्प अत्यंत क्रूर और निश्चित है। 'लोहितलक्षणा' (रक्त के चिन्हों वाली) शब्द उस अस्त्र के खूनी इतिहास और भावी संहार की ओर संकेत करते हैं। वह सीधे हृदय (हृदयम्) पर प्रहार करने की बात कर रहा है, जो निश्चित मृत्यु का सूचक है। रावण यहाँ अपनी पूरी पाशविक शक्ति का प्रदर्शन कर रहा है।
