इत्येवमुक्त्वा तां शक्तिमष्टघण्टां महास्वनाम् ।
मयेन मायाविहिताममोघां शत्रुघातिनीम् ॥६-१०१-३०॥

Translation
Having spoken thus, that Shakti—created through illusion by Maya, possessing eight bells, making a great sound, infallible, and the slayer of enemies—

ऐसा कहकर, मयासुर द्वारा माया से निर्मित, आठ घण्टों वाली, महान शब्द करने वाली, अमोघ और शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाली उस शक्ति को—
English Commentary
The description of this 'Shakti' proves its supernatural nature. The 'eight bells' were meant to create a terrifying resonance on the battlefield. It is called 'Amogha' (infallible), its primary attribute. Being crafted through Mayasura's sorcery, it contained numerous deceptive powers.

इस 'शक्ति' का वर्णन उसकी अलौकिकता को सिद्ध करता है। 'अष्टघण्टाम्' (आठ घण्टों वाली) होना युद्ध के मैदान में एक डरावना संगीत पैदा करने के लिए था। इसे 'अमोघा' (जो कभी निष्फल न हो) कहा गया है, जो इसकी सबसे बड़ी विशेषता है। मयासुर की माया से बनी होने के कारण इसमें अनेक छद्म शक्तियाँ भी निहित थीं।
