ततः शूलानि निश्चेरुर्गदाश्च मुसलानि च ।
कार्मुकाद्दीप्यमानानि वज्रसाराणि सर्वशः ॥६-१०१-३॥
tataḥ śūlāni niścerurgadāśca musalāni ca |
kārmukāddīpyamānāni vajrasārāṇi sarvaśaḥ ॥6-101-3॥
Translation
Then, from Ravana's bow, tridents, maces, and clubs began to issue forth from all sides, blazing with light and as hard as diamond.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब रावण के धनुष से प्रज्वलित शूल, गदाएँ और मूसल सब ओर से निकलने लगे, जो वज्र के समान कठोर और अत्यंत शक्तिशाली थे।
English Commentary
The specialty of this missile was that it rained down heavy weaponry rather than mere arrows. The term 'Vajrasarani' affirms their indestructibility and striking power. This scene depicts the horror of battle where the sky is filled with impacts of iron and fire.
