मुद्गराः कूटपाशाश्च दीप्ताश्चाशनयस्तथा ।
निष्पेतुर्विविधास्तीक्ष्णा वाता इव युगक्षये ॥६-१०१-४॥
mudgarāḥ kūṭapāśāśca dīptāścāśanayas tathā |
niṣpetur vividhāstīkṣṇā vātā iva yugakṣaye ॥6-101-4॥
Translation
Various sharp mallets, deceptive nooses, and blazing thunderbolts issued forth like the fierce winds at the end of an eon.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस धनुष से अनेक प्रकार के तीखे मुदगर, कूट-पाश (मायावी फंदे) और चमकती हुई बिजलियाँ वैसे ही निकलने लगीं, जैसे प्रलयकाल में प्रचंड वायु चलती है।
English Commentary
The analogy to the winds of cosmic dissolution highlights the intensity of the carnage. Ravana was not just seeking physical injury but also attempting to trap Shri Rama through 'Kutapasha' (deceptive nooses). This is the hallmark of demonic strategy—the simultaneous use of brute force and treachery.

प्रलयकालीन वायु (वाता इव युगक्षये) की उपमा संहार की तीव्रता को दर्शाती है। रावण केवल शारीरिक चोट नहीं, बल्कि 'कूटपाश' के माध्यम से छलपूर्वक श्री राम को बांधने का प्रयास भी कर रहा था। यह असुरों की चिर-परिचित युद्ध नीति है जहाँ वे बल और छल का एक साथ प्रयोग करते हैं।
