अद्य सर्वमहं त्यक्ष्ये निहत्वा रावणं रणे ।
यदर्थं वानरं सैन्यं समानीतमिदं मया ॥६-१०१-५१॥
adya sarvama haṃ tyakṣyē nihatvā rāvaṇaṃ raṇē |
yadarthaṃ vānaraṃ saīnyaṃ samānītāmidaṃ mayā ॥6-101-51॥
Translation
Today, by slaying Ravana in battle, I shall cast off all those sorrows. For whose sake I have brought and gathered this Vanara army here—

आज मैं युद्ध में रावण का वध करके उन सभी कष्टों को त्याग दूँगा। जिसके लिए मैंने यह वानर सेना यहाँ एकत्रित की है—
English Commentary
Shri Rama clarifies the primary purpose of gathering the Vanara host—the slaying of Ravana. He reminds His army that the time for their labor and sacrifice has arrived. The destruction of Ravana is the justification for His entire exile and struggle. It is the moment of His mission's fulfillment.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम यहाँ वानर सेना के एकत्र होने के मूल उद्देश्य 'रावण वध' को स्पष्ट करते हैं। वे अपनी सेना को याद दिला रहे हैं कि उनके परिश्रम और बलिदान का समय अब आ गया है। रावण का वध ही उनके सम्पूर्ण वनवास और संघर्ष की सार्थकता है। यह उनके मिशन की पूर्णता का क्षण है।
