Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ते भिन्नाश्च विकीर्णाश्च रामरावणयोः शराः ।
अन्तरिक्षात् प्रदीप्ताग्रा निपेतुर्धरणीतले ॥६-१०१-६१॥
tē bhinnāśca vikiīrṇāśca rāmarāvaṇayōḥ śarāḥ |
antarikṣāt pradīptāgrā nipe tur dharaṇītale ॥6-101-61॥
Translation
Those arrows of Shri Rama and Ravana, shattered and scattered, fell from the sky to the earth with their tips still blazing.
हिंदी अनुवाद
श्री राम और रावण के वे बाण टूटकर और बिखरकर, प्रज्वलित मुखों के साथ आकाश से पृथ्वी पर गिरने लगे।
English Commentary
The arrows having 'blazing tips' confirms they were empowered by mantras. Their fall upon the earth was transforming the battlefield into a pit of fire. This scene is the physical byproduct of the great churning between Dharma and Adharma. Each shaft had fulfilled its role (collision) even before reaching its target.
हिंदी टीका
बाणों का 'प्रदीप्त-अग्रा' (जलते हुए मुख वाला) होना उनके मन्त्र-सिद्ध होने का प्रमाण है। पृथ्वी पर उनका गिरना रणभूमि को अग्नि के कुंड में बदल रहा था। यह दृश्य अधर्म और धर्म के बीच होने वाले महा-मंथन का भौतिक परिणाम है। कोई भी बाण लक्ष्य तक पहुँचने से पहले ही अपना कार्य (टकराव) कर चुका था।
