Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
इत्येवमुक्तो हनुमान् गत्वा चौषधिपर्वतम् ।
चिन्तामभ्यगमच्छ्रीमानजानंस्तां महौषधिम् ॥६-१०२-२५॥
ityevamukto hanumān gatvā cauṣadhiparvatam |
cintāmabhyagamacchrīmānajānaṃstāṃ mahauṣadhim ॥6-102-25॥
Translation
Being spoken to thus, the glorious Hanuman reached the mountain of herbs, but He fell into deep thought as He could not identify those great medicinal plants.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ऐसा कहे जाने पर श्रीमान हनुमान जी औषधि पर्वत पर गए, किन्तु उन महान औषधियों को न पहचान पाने के कारण वे चिन्ता में पड़ गए।
English Commentary
Hanuman's rapid arrival at the mountain testifies to His speed, but His subsequent 'anxiety' highlights human-like limitations. He is immensely powerful but was not an expert in botany. The word 'Ajanan' (not knowing) reveals His humble and sincere nature. He did not let the inability to identify the herbs deter Him; instead, He began searching for an alternative solution.

हनुमान जी का पर्वत पर पहुँचना उनकी गति का प्रमाण है, किन्तु वहाँ पहुँचकर उनकी 'चिन्ता' मानवीय सीमाओं को दर्शाती है। वे बलवान हैं, किन्तु वनस्पति शास्त्र के ज्ञाता नहीं थे। यहाँ 'अजानन्' (न जानना) शब्द उनके सरल और निष्कपट स्वभाव को भी प्रकट करता है। वे अपनी विफलता से डरे नहीं, बल्कि समाधान खोजने में जुट गए।
