Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अगृह्य यदि गच्छामि विशल्यकरणीमहम् ।
कालात्ययेन दोषः स्याद्वैक्लव्यं च महद्भवेत् ॥६-१०२-२७॥
agṛhya yadi gacchāmi viśalyakaraṇīmahaṃ |
kālātyayena doṣaḥ syādvvaikalvyaṃ ca mahadbhavet ॥6-102-27॥
Translation
If I return without taking the Vishalyakarani, a great fault will occur due to the lapse of time, and there will be profound distress.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यदि मैं विशल्यकरणी को लिए बिना ही वापस गया, तो समय बीत जाने से बड़ा अनर्थ (दोष) होगा और घोर निराशा (व्याकुलता) व्याप्त हो जाएगी।
English Commentary
Shri Hanuman understands the severe time constraint. He is aware of the consequences of returning empty-handed. The phrase 'Mahaad bhavet' refers to the potential psychological collapse of the entire army and Shri Rama. This verse showcases His extreme sense of responsibility. Failure was not an option for Him.

हनुमान जी यहाँ समय की महत्ता (Time constraint) को समझ रहे हैं। वे खाली हाथ लौटने के परिणाम को जानते थे। 'वैक्लव्यं च महद् भवेत्' शब्द पूरी वानर सेना और श्री राम की मानसिक स्थिति की ओर संकेत करते हैं। यह श्लोक उनके उत्तरदायित्व की भावना को चरम पर दिखाता है। वे असफल होना स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते थे।
