Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एह्येहीत्यब्रवीद्रामो लक्ष्मणं परवीरहा ।
सस्वजे स्नेहगाढं च बाष्पपार्याकुलेक्षणः ॥६-१०२-३८॥
ehyehītyabravīdrāmo lakṣmaṇaṃ paravīrahā |
sasvaje snehagāḍhaṃ ca bāṣpaparyākulekṣaṇaḥ ॥6-102-38॥
Translation
Shri Rama, the slayer of enemy heroes, said to Lakshmana: 'Come, come here.' And with eyes overflowing with tears, He embraced Lakshmana tightly with affection.
हिंदी अनुवाद
शत्रु वीरों का संहार करने वाले श्री राम ने लक्ष्मण से कहा— 'आओ, मेरे पास आओ'। और आंसुओं से भरे नेत्रों के साथ उन्होंने लक्ष्मण को बड़े स्नेह से गले लगा लिया।
English Commentary
This reunion of Shri Rama and Shri Lakshmana is one of the most beautiful scenes in the Ramayana. Shri Rama's tears are no longer of sorrow but of boundless joy and gratitude. The term 'Snehagadham' (deep affection) expresses their unbreakable bond. This verse portrays the Lord's longing for His devotee and the bliss of their reunion.

श्री राम और लक्ष्मण जी का यह मिलाप श्री रामायण के सबसे सुंदर दृश्यों में से एक है। श्री राम के आँसू अब दुःख के नहीं, बल्कि असीम सुख और कृतज्ञता के हैं। 'स्नेहगाढम्' (प्रगाढ़ स्नेह) शब्द उनके अटूट सम्बन्ध को व्यक्त करता है। यह श्लोक भगवान की अपने भक्त के प्रति व्याकुलता और उसकी प्राप्ति के आनंद को चित्रित करता है।
