लज्जतीव हि मे वीर्यं भ्रश्यतीव कराद्धनुः ।
सायका व्यवसीदन्ति दृष्टिर्बाष्पवशं गता ॥६-१०२-६॥
lajjatīva hi me vīryaṃ bhraśyatīva karāddhanuḥ |
sāyakā vyavasīdanti dṛṣṭirbāṣpavaśaṃ gatā ॥6-102-6॥
Translation
My prowess seems to be ashamed, the bow is slipping from my hand, the arrows are becoming listless, and my vision is clouded by tears.

मेरा पराक्रम मानो लज्जित हो रहा है, मेरे हाथ से धनुष फिसला जा रहा है, बाण शिथिल हो रहे हैं और मेरी दृष्टि आंसुओं के वश में हो गई है।
English Commentary
This provides a psychological depiction of the impact of grief on a warrior's capability. The word 'Lajjativa' (as if ashamed) suggests that Shri Rama feels guilty for failing to protect His brother. The synergy between mind and body is broken, rendering even His divine bow and arrows heavy and ineffective. It is a moment where the Supreme Being, bound by compassion, acts like an ordinary, suffering mortal.

यहाँ शोक का योद्धा की क्षमता पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव का मनोवैज्ञानिक चित्रण है। 'लज्जतीव' (लज्जित होना) शब्द बताता है कि श्री राम को ग्लानि हो रही है कि वे अपने भाई की रक्षा नहीं कर सके। शरीर और मन का सामंजस्य टूट गया है, जिससे धनुष और बाण जैसे अस्त्र भी भारी लग रहे हैं। यह एक ऐसी स्थिति है जहाँ साक्षात् ईश्वर भी करुणा के वशीभूत होकर एक साधारण दुखी मनुष्य की भाँति व्यवहार कर रहे हैं।
