Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
लक्ष्मणेन तु तद्वाक्यमुक्तं श्रुत्वा स राघवः ।
सन्दधे परवीरघ्नो धनुरादाय वीर्यवान् ॥६-१०३-१॥
lakṣmaṇena tu tadvākyamuktaṃ śrutvā sa rāghavaḥ |
sandadhe paravīraghno dhanurādāya vīryavān ॥6-103-1॥
Translation
Hearing those words spoken by Lakshmana, the energetic scion of Raghu (Shri Rama), the slayer of hostile heroes, took up his bow and fixed an arrow on it.
हिंदी अनुवाद
लक्ष्मण के द्वारा कहे गए उस वचन को सुनकर, शत्रुवीरों का नाश करने वाले वीर्यवान रघुनंदन (श्री राम) ने धनुष उठाकर उस पर बाण का संधान किया।
English Commentary
In the previous sarga, Lakshmana had vowed to kill Ravana, but Shri Rama stopped him and decided to fight Ravana himself. This verse marks the moment Shri Rama takes the burden of the final decisive battle upon his own shoulders. The adjective 'paraviraghnah' (slayer of hostile heroes) assures that Shri Rama is now fully prepared for the destruction of the enemy.

पिछले सर्ग में लक्ष्मण ने रावण का वध करने की प्रतिज्ञा की थी, किन्तु श्री राम ने उन्हें रोककर स्वयं रावण से युद्ध करने का निर्णय लिया। यह श्लोक उस क्षण को दर्शाता है जब श्री राम ने अंतिम निर्णायक युद्ध का दायित्व अपने कंधों पर ले लिया। 'परवीरघ्नः' (शत्रु वीरों का नाश करने वाले) विशेषण यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि श्री राम अब शत्रु के विनाश के लिए पूर्णतः तत्पर हैं।
