Srimad Valmiki Ramayana - Yuddha Kanda - Sarga 103

आरुह्येमं रथं वीर राक्षसं जहि रावणम् ।
मया सारथिना राजन् महेन्द्र इव दानवान् ॥६-१०३-१३॥

āruhyemaṃ rathaṃ vīra rākṣasaṃ jahi rāvaṇam |
mayā sārathinā rājan mahendra iva dānavān ॥6-103-13॥

Translation

"O Hero! O King! Mounting this chariot, with me as your charioteer, kill the Rakshasa Ravana just as Mahendra kills the Danavas."

हिंदी अनुवाद

"हे वीर! हे राजन! मेरे सारथी रहते हुए, इस रथ पर चढ़कर राक्षस रावण को वैसे ही मारिए जैसे महेन्द्र (इंद्र) दानवों को मारते हैं।"

English Commentary

Matali places Shri Rama on par with Indra. He offers his service ('maya sarathina'), which is crucial in battle as a skilled charioteer aids in both the defense and offense of the warrior.

मातलि ने श्री राम को इंद्र के समकक्ष रखा है। उन्होंने अपनी सेवा ('मया सारथिना') अर्पित की, जो युद्ध में निर्णायक होती है क्योंकि एक कुशल सारथी रथी की रक्षा और आक्रमण दोनों में सहायता करता है।
