विषेदुर्देवगन्धर्वा दानवाश्चारणैः सह ।
राममार्तं तदा दृष्ट्वा सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः ॥६-१०३-२८॥
viṣedurdevagandharvā dānavāścāraṇaiḥ saha |
rāmamārtaṃ tadā dṛṣṭvā siddhāśca paramarṣayaḥ ॥6-103-28॥
Translation
...the Devas, Gandharvas, Danavas along with Charanas, and Siddhas and great Rishis became dejected seeing Shri Rama in distress at that time.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...देवता, गंधर्व, चारणों सहित दानव तथा सिद्ध और परम ऋषि, तब श्री राम को पीड़ित (आर्त) देखकर विषाद को प्राप्त हुए।
English Commentary
The cosmic audience (Devas, Rishis) despaired at Shri Rama's pain. The word 'arta' (distressed) indicates how effective Ravana's attack was. This is the stage of the conflict where the Hero appears most vulnerable, heightening the significance of the eventual victory.

ब्रह्मांडीय दर्शक (देव, ऋषि) श्री राम की पीड़ा से दुखी हो गए। 'आर्त' (पीड़ित) शब्द बताता है कि रावण का आक्रमण कितना प्रभावी था। यह संघर्ष का वह चरण है जब नायक (Hero) सबसे कमजोर स्थिति में दिखता है, जिससे अंतिम विजय का महत्व बढ़ जाता है।
