निरस्यमानो रामस्तु दशग्रीवेण रक्षसा ।
नाशक्नोदभिसन्धातुं सायकान् रणमूर्धनि ॥६-१०३-३५॥
nirasyamāno rāmastu daśagrīveṇa rakṣasā |
nāśaknodabhisandhātuṃ sāyakān raṇamūrdhani ॥6-103-35॥
Translation
Being overwhelmed by the Rakshasa Ten-necked one, Shri Rama was unable to even fix his arrows (on the bow) at the forefront of the battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षस दशग्रीव द्वारा (बाणों से) दबाए जाते हुए श्री राम, युद्ध के मुहाने पर बाणों का संधान करने में भी समर्थ नहीं हो पा रहे थे।
English Commentary
The situation had become extremely critical for Shri Rama. Ravana's pressure was so immense that Shri Rama couldn't even find a moment to retaliate (fix an arrow). This verse depicts the 'Crisis of the Hero', the darkness just before the dawn of victory.
हिंदी टीका
स्थिति श्री राम के लिए अत्यंत कठिन हो गई थी। रावण का दबाव इतना अधिक था कि श्री राम को जवाबी कार्यवाही (बाण चढ़ाने) का अवसर भी नहीं मिल रहा था। यह श्लोक 'नायक के संकट' (Crisis of the Hero) को दर्शाता है, जो विजय से ठीक पहले का अंधकार है।
