Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
निर्बिभेद रणे रामो दशग्रीवं समाहितम् ।
भूमौ स्थितस्य रामस्य रथस्थस्य च रक्षसः ॥६-१०३-५॥
nirbibheda raṇe rāmo daśagrīvaṃ samāhitam |
bhūmau sthitasya rāmasya rathasthasya ca rakṣasaḥ ॥6-103-5॥
Translation
Shri Rama, remaining composed in battle, pierced the ten-necked one. (This battle took place between) Shri Rama standing on the ground and the Rakshasa seated on a chariot.
हिंदी अनुवाद
श्री राम ने युद्ध में सावधान (समाहित) होकर दशग्रीव को बींध डाला। (यह युद्ध) भूमि पर खड़े श्री राम और रथ पर बैठे राक्षस के बीच हो रहा था।
English Commentary
Shri Rama remained 'samahita' (composed/focused). Despite being on the ground, his aim was unerring. Valmiki deliberately highlights the positional difference here—'bhumau sthitasya' (standing on the ground) vs 'rathasthasya' (seated on a chariot)—to underscore the inequality of the battle.

श्री राम 'समाहित' (एकाग्र/सावधान) थे। भूमि पर होते हुए भी उनका निशाना अचूक था। वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ जानबूझकर दोनों की स्थिति का अंतर बताते हैं—'भूमौ स्थितस्य' (भूमि पर स्थित) और 'रथस्थस्य' (रथ पर स्थित)—ताकि युद्ध की असमानता को रेखांकित किया जा सके।
