ददृशुस्ते महायुद्धं लोकसंवर्तसंस्थितम् ।
नानाप्रहरणैर्भीमैः शूरयोः सम्प्रयुद्ध्यतोः ॥६-१०४-६॥
dadṛśuste mahāyuddhaṃ lokasaṃvartasaṃsthitam |
nānāpraharaṇairbhīmaiḥ śūrayoḥ samprayudhyatoḥ ॥6-104-6॥
Translation
...watched that great battle which resembled the universal dissolution, as the two heroes fought with various terrible weapons.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...उन सबने प्रलयकाल (लोक-संवर्त) के समान उस महायुद्ध को देखा, जहाँ दो शूरवीर (श्री राम और रावण) अनेक प्रकार के भयानक अस्त्र-शस्त्रों से युद्ध कर रहे थे।
English Commentary
The intensity of the duel is likened to the 'Lokasamvarta'—the cosmic dissolution at the end of time. The sheer power of the weapons ('bhīmaiḥ praharaṇaiḥ') used by the two warriors creates a spectacle of destruction that awes even the celestial spectators.

युद्ध की तुलना 'लोकसंवर्त' (प्रलयकाल) से की गई है। श्री राम और रावण का संघर्ष सामान्य युद्ध नहीं, बल्कि दो युग-शक्तियों का टकराव है। 'नानाप्रहरणैः' बताता है कि दोनों ओर से दिव्यास्त्रों का खुलकर प्रयोग हो रहा है, जो दर्शकों के लिए विस्मयकारी और भयावह है।
